I had a blast creating a mini album with the Gossamer Blue main kit! Since my little girl just turned two on February 1st, I decided to create an album documenting what she is like right now. I think this may just be my favorite stage so far--although I say that every time she enters a new phase!
For this mini, I pulled out an old Bo Bunny chipboard album I had and got to work filling it up. Although I normally like doing more elaborate album covers, I loved the peek through the chipboard at my baby's beautiful smile.
When you turn the page, you see the full layout that was covered. I think I'm in love with the Webster's Pages photo corners--they are some kind of fantastic and add the perfect touch!
And a closer look.....
On my second page, I wrote a bit about the album. I wanted to be able to pick it up years later and understand the context of her recent birthday.
I love this photo of Ellie and her stuffed bear (who used to be her daddy's!) so I wanted to showcase it with a simple deisgn.
A simple, happy note--but so true.
I love mixing color and black and white photos in a mini. The contrast gives each one more presence!
I enjoyed the mix of shapes in the album--it adds a fun, whimsical element! I love this photo of my little girl watching over her baby brother, and wanted to highlight the photo with a fun smattering of embellishments.
On the last page of my albums, I included an envelope (from my stash) with a letter to my girl. I love including these surprises in an album and hope they will be fun for my daughter to read one day!
Thank you, Gossamer Blue, for the beautiful kit--it was so much fun to see a scrapbooking kit transformed into a mini album!
