Today we begin a new month of sketches from a new month of history, August 2009, we are hoping to inspire you to create page after page. Let's get started.
This week, we were drawn to Erin Sweeney's layout, Corn on the Cob.
The offset photo and patterns are just so unexpected and eyecatching.
Here is the sketch the layout inspired.
Marnie followed the sketch very closely, but in adding a bit of journaling at the bottom, she needed to move the title up onto the patterned paper block.
Marnie also put together two 12x12 options so that she had a better visual for making square layouts.
She used the one on the right, but moved one of the top row photos down as it had to go in order.
Oh, tiny puppies are like tiny babies. So very cute.
After making two with large grids, Marnie decided to shrink down the basic elements into a small central grouping. Here is the layout she created.
Oh how that changes it.
We hope that you have a fantastic weekend! Thank you for stopping by! We hope you have fun with the sketches!
