Hi, everyone! This week, Cari, Ewa, and Valerie, and I (Aliza) will be talking about "seasons." For many of us, it is autumn, with its deliciously cooler weather and fun and meaningful holidays. But it is not fall for everyone, so we will take a look at all the seasons of the year, how they make us feel, what they make us think about, and how to write, click, and scrapbook about them.
Along with the weather, seasons bring with them strong associations, feelings, and traditions. I notice this the most as summer arrives. My layouts at the beginning of this season often start with "Hello." There is so much to welcome and look forward to as the summer arrives. There is the yearly tradition of a summer day on the lake,
and little treats that, for some reason, we only make during the summer time.
I am always sad when the summer ends, and I find it cathartic to make an official goodbye page to summer. Gathering all the good parts together helps me move on to the next part of the year.
That next season, of course, is the fall. I am not prone to long musings about the fall. Rather, I like to focus on small things. The weather, the clothes, and those gorgeous mini pumpkins.
In the winter, there is THE holiday season, there is snow, and then there is the fatigue that comes from so much cold weather.
It's funny, but I don't have layouts about the spring. but I do know that I always stop and snap some photos of those first little buds. After long winters, those little bits of life are quite the relief to see.
I hope you find some inspiration this week to document how you feel about the seasons of the year. Whether it's with a simple photo, a long letter, or a short list of favorites.
Thanks for stopping by!
