Hi, it's Dee with another post on fall colors!
Sometimes it's good to challenge yourself into using colors you normally wouldn't use. For this layout I used a color I don't use all that often, but that is one of the typical fall colors: green. I'm not the biggest fan of green, although it really depends on the shade of green. I do like the more minty green or the darker shades. But not so much the moss/grass green colors. I did use some of this for todays layout though, because I think it matches well with the green in the pictures.
12 x 12 | materials: kraft dotted cardstock (BoBunny) + Green cardstock (American Crafts) + patterned paper (Dear Lizzy for American Crafts, Studio Calico and We R MemoryKeepers) + kraft tags (Studio Calico) + thickers (American Crafts) + kraft embellishments (Studio Calico) + chipboard buttons (Pink Paislee) + ink (Stazon) + pen (Sharpie) + date stamp (Dear Lizzy for American Crafts)
For the base of the layout I used a really cute polkadot craft paper by BoBunny. I used several shades of green and several different patterns as well. The thing that makes it easy for me to use colors I don't use all that often is to use it with papers I love the patterns of. I absolutely adore the swirly/floral-ish paper by Studio Calico (Sundrifter) collection and the same goes for the fun chevron paper by We R Memorykeepers. I love how all the different shades of green combine together and how they combine with the kraft as well.
I hope you feel inspired to challenge yourself to using a (fall)color you wouldn't normally use! Please link below in the comments when you do! I can't wait to see what you all come up with!
Much love,
Dee
