Hi! It's Aliza again, wrapping up the week on seasons.
This time, I am not talking about the weather at all. I am talking about some of the other definitions of "seasons." Such as this one, "a time characterized by a particular circumstance or feature." New York City Comic Con always comes in October, and there is definitely a Comic Con season in our home. Suddenly, everyone who is not me, becomes super crafty as they work on their costumes. You might think that with me as the mom, they would be crafty all the time. But, nope. Just this one time of year. I'll take it, though.
This one might be a stretch, but it resonated with me. There is this definition of the word season, "an indefinite period of time." I couldn't help but notice recently, that while there were years and years where it seemed impossible to imagine that my husband and I would ever have time alone together, suddenly, we do. Which is a strange shift in the rhythm of our lives. We still have several parenting years left, so this change isn't happening all at once, but it's there.
It can be sad for one season to end, but then there is always the next one to look forward to.
Thank you for joining us this week, and have a great weekend!
