It's quiet in my house. Strange for a summer vacation day. Two to the movies. One off with her dad. The dog snoring peacefully on the bed behind me. It's been a good day. My dad got his third transfusion for the week and finally seems to be on the mend. As much as he can mend these days. A friend dropped off a giant bag of hand me downs which will help alleviate the cost of back to school shopping. I got to hug three of my favorite wish-they-were-mine kids as they head back to/off to college. I tidied the kitchen and can see my kitchen table. All in all. A good day.
So when I sat down to finish a layout that I started yesterday, I realized that it was a loud sassy layout, and right now I am not much in a loud nor sassy mood. So I went hunting for something more serene. Does that happen to you, sometimes? Do you need to scrapbook photos that match your mood? I hadn't realized how much I did that, but I do. And now that I am not scrapbooking for anyone but me (and you, of course!) and I get to pick my photos, I find it increasingly difficult to scrapbook a mood I am not in. Curious thing to discover about yourself. But helpful.
So here is today's even, quiet, and not at all busy layout.
It makes me shiver a little, from the cold. But that's not all bad either on this sweltering day! I hope you find a moment or two to scrapbook a page be it a bright and loud one, or a quiet and serene one. Enjoy!!
