My name is Keshet Starr, though I’ve been transitioning to my married name so you may know me as Keshet Shenkar.
Generally I feel as if I am 23 years old—even though I’m 25. I haven’t mentally caught up!
My favorite book is Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen, my favorite movies are Mulan and the BBC Pride and Prejudice, of course, and my favorite song is anything on Mindy Gledhill’s new album, which I’m newly in love with!
During my life, I have lived in New York, Israel, Hong Kong, Hawaii, Ohio, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey. I think I’m done moving now.
One of the most defining moments of my life was when I realized I didn’t have to live my life according to a set timeline or plan.
My camera is a Canon Rebel, and my favorite lens is the one on my camera now, also known as “the only lens I’ve tried so far.” Can you tell I’m new to photography?
When I scrapbook, I must have music, scratch paper, a pencil and border punches.
Though I began scrapbooking in 2001, I don’t think I found my groove until 2009.
My favorite scrapbooking colors are light blue and yellow. I have an obsession with yellow lately.
You might notice many of my pages include handwritten journaling. Partly because I like it, and partly because I always mess up the typed journaling strips!
Keshet is a twenty-five year old law school grad living in the New York/New Jersey area with her (very patient and scrapbook-supportive) husband, Steve. She began scrapbooking at sixteen, when her father, a business consultant, worked for a scrapbook company and came home with a bag of free product. He has since complained that it was his most expensive consulting job ever! After discovering the online scrapbooking community a year ago, Keshet has done a lot less homework and laundry but had a lot more fun! When she’s not scrapbooking, Keshet enjoys baking, reading novels, creative writing, photography, and entertaining. Her work has been featured by Scrapbook Trends, Ella Publishing Co., and Scrapbooking.com. Keshet also designs for Sketchy Thursdays and Scarlet Lime, and is an Ella Publishing Co. friend.
