Generally I feel as if I am my age, 46. I would like to get in better shape and maybe feel 36 again.
My favorite book is The Fault In Our Stars. My favorite movie is Les Miserables. And I have no favorite music--I'm all over the place!
During my life I have only lived in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. My first job out of college was with an insurance company and I stayed there for 17 years until I had a baby the day before I turned 40 and got the OK to retire.
In 2009 my little boy, Willie, was diagnosed Autistic. Then in the middle of all of the evaluations, paperwork, setting up services, and overall sadness my husband was diagnosed with stage 3 Colon Cancer. He had surgery and started chemo right away. Six months of chemo and he's still cancer free 4 years later, but during that time when everything was happening all at once I came to appreciate just how good I'd had it up until then.
My camera is an iPhone 5. I was using a Nikon D70 for 9 years and it recently died on me. I'm trying to raise funds for a new camera body, maybe the D3100.
When I scrapbook it's usually early in the morning. I go to bed early and I'm up by 5am with no alarm clock. Most of my crafting is done early in the morning before everyone wakes up.
Though I began scrapbooking in 2003, I don't think I've found my groove yet. There is still so much to be inspired by and talented crafters to learn from.
My favorite scrapbooking colors are usually neutral bases like kraft or white with pops of color.
You might notice that my pages usually include stamping. I love stamps!
Laura lives in a Philadelphia suburb with her husband of 16 years and her 14 year old daughter and 6 year old son. I am currently a stay at home mom, but will be trying to go back to work in the near future. With a daughter starting high school, and then college right around the corner we're going to need some more money coming in. And, I think it's time. I'm scared, though! As far as scrapbooking I do paper, digital, and a hybrid style of Project Life. I like to keep my options open.
