Generally I feel younger than my real age of 52, but happy to be where I am in life right now.
I love to read historical biographies and Jane Austen. My favorite movie depends on what kind of mood I’m in, and my favorite music is classical and classic rock.
During my life, I have lived in Ohio, West Virginia and Michigan. I am a midwest girl at heart.
One of the most defining moments of my life was the day I took my first piano lesson. Seriously. That led to majoring in music in college, where I met my husband, and a rewarding career teaching music for over 30 years.
My camera is my husband’s Nikon D800. He truly is the photographer in the family. I shoot most of my photos with my iPhone.
When I scrapbook I listen to the classical radio station and am assisted by my helper cat.
Though I began scrapbooking in 1998, I don't think I found my groove until 2011 after taking Karen Grunberg’s class, Finding Your Way. I feel like I am always finding my way and don’t ever want to stop learning and growing.
My favorite scrapbooking colors are anything bright and happy. The color wheel is my friend.
You might notice that many of my pages include hand stitching, typed journaling strips and plenty of patterned paper. I like to think of my style as classic, clean and colorful.
Sue currently lives in southeastern Michigan with her husband of 30+ years and two spoiled cats. She grew up in Ohio and all her family still live there, so she is truly a Buckeye at heart. She has a grown son who is married. Sue recently retired from teaching piano in her home for over 25 years. Sue started scrapbooking in 1998 after taking a trip to Israel and Egypt and coming home with a plethora of pictures and memories. She attended her first Creative Memories party and as the saying goes, the rest is history! When she is not scrapping, you might find her reading, knitting, watching Duck Dynasty, or rooting for her beloved Ohio State Buckeyes or Detroit Tigers - sometimes doing several of these at once!
